Trip to Belgrade – fabulous designers & models, fashion shoots to remember Pt. 2
For Part 1 of this series, make sure to check out our Part 1 post.
Day 2 in Belgrade brought about a new marketplace, different approach to fashion and different mood.
While the first shoot we organized had that early morning vibe, immersing with the atmosphere with an impeccable sculptural taste, the Day 2 designs were more glamour-tailored and more of party-ready pieces. And the party is at the marketplace.
Designers featured in this piece are designers who usually present their pieces at P1 Concept Store located in the most fashionable street in Belgrade ( Kralja Petra Street ). The sheer talent and use of color for these designs is what made me as a photographer inspired to create an “not marketplace” look paired with such an unlikely location.
MaKap Atelier focuses on beautiful dresses that “bring out the best in us” and focuses on the words that “a tree should be judged by the fruit it bears”, but what has drawn my attention the most is the sturdy, very sculptural feel of the pieces, which can stand on their own when put upwards and which hug the body, but still hold the form of their own.
Tijana Žunić‘s use of gorgeous pastel colors and very clean cuts is what has inspired me immensely before even going to Belgrade this summer. She also designs beautiful wedding dresses for modern brides, which beautifully rounds up collections as a whole.
LOVEmarine designs beautiful and witty dresses, but what instantly caught my attention is this gorgeous body-hugging piece with beautiful light-blue feathers attached to shiny eyelets and intricate blush mesh covering the whole surface of the dress.
For this particular piece the rain caught up with us, and as summer rains are unpredictable in Serbia, so was finding this perfect spot for immersing with the metallic shine of the dress by Ljubica, which Tara wore for the day.
Studio V Dorcol
A piece that stood out the most in the entire collection is the floor-sweeping, 10kg heavy, burning red pleated skirt from Studio V Dorcol. I had a vision of pairing it with a bag from the marketplace as a top, to accentuate the power and voluminousness of the skirt. The skirt was also a show stopper at the market.
